For children who have difficulty pronouncing sounds, saying words clearly, or being understood by others. Some children substitute one sound for another (for example, saying “tat” instead of “cat”), leave sounds out of words, or have trouble coordinating the movements needed to speak. Speech therapy supports children with speech delays, speech sound disorders, and childhood apraxia of speech.
